Jessops Store Oxford St. LDN
Photographic retailer Jessops is showing its commitment to physical stores, with the launch of a new store concept on Oxford Street in London. The format is being rolled out to the rest of the chain.
The new format positions the store as a destination for all things photographic, from personalised gifts designed with ‘smartphone snappers’ in mind, to cameras, accessories and experiences for photography enthusiasts.
My major role in this project was strong collaboration with 3D and Interior designers coming up with the style and functionality of new space, including activities and launch events. Main final visual outcome of my work is the full Wayfinding design for the store, windows and columns.
Jessops has been working with Liberation for the five years since Jones invested in the retailer. “They’ve supported us in making some brave decisions and helped us create the exciting new strategy that has put us at the centre of digital image-making and photo-sharing culture. Following the announcement of the Jessops strategic partnership with Fujifilm, the team at Liberation helped us to reinvent our image-making offer both in-store and online. We aim to be the destination for the selfie generation, photography enthusiasts and everything in between,” says Old.
